Case studies in rural environmental health

Resumo


Introdução: Rural populations are exposed to many environmental threats that harm health. Concerns include indoor and outdoor air pollution; pesticide exposure, and chemical and biological water contamination.

Objetivos: In this interactive workshop, we will explore the role of the family doctor, as clinician, researcher and advocate in environmental health. We will base the discussion on case presentations, prepared by members of the WONCA Working Party on the Environment.
